logoThe Role: This is an opportunity to join a mature, well-funded & impactful intelligence and analytics team in the high-margin, high-growth cybersecurity industry. The team provides intelligence and analysis on all aspects of Trend Micro’s European business, drives conversations and ultimately makes recommendations for change. Due to growth, we have an opening for a SQL Developer to join the team: a balanced mix of BI technical leads, data scientists and intelligence analysts. You will be responsible for the support and development of a contemporary data warehouse built on Microsoft SQL Server 2016 as well as other data integration tasks and activities.

 

This role is ideal for candidates with two-plus years of SQL development experience and are ambitious to progress.

 

You will be based in our European Operations Centre in Cork City, Ireland.

 

 

 

The Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain tables, relational database models, complex queries and SQL joins within a Microsoft SQL Server environment
  • Design and develop ETL packages for internal integration processes.
  • Perform as a team player in a fast-paced, goal-oriented, results-based environment
  • Maintain a high standard of internal documentation
  • Troubleshoot and resolve ETL issues
  • Work with colleagues and internal stakeholders on new initiatives

You Are

  • Fluent in English.
  • Comfortable with Source Control practices.

You Have

  • A good standard of education with a degree/diploma in the related field or self-taught with relevant experience
  • 2+ years hands on experience as an SQL developer with solid knowledge in designing, developing and delivering end-to-end data integration processes
  • Experience in the maintenance of data warehouses or relational/analytical/multi-dimensional data marts
  • Understanding of BI principles and architectures
  • Develop tables, relational database models, complex queries, and SQL joins.
  • Proficiency across the Microsoft SQL Server stack :
    • Database Engine
    • SSIS
    • SSRS
    • SSAS
  • Knowledge of enterprise BI platforms such as Tableau, Qlikview or Power BI is useful but not a requirement
  • Solid attention to detail
  • A Strong understanding of the data ecosystem: relational databases, data warehouses, ETL, data integrity, and the flow of data within an enterprise.
