Working in conjunction with Sales, Marketing and Product Managers, the Pre-Sales Engineer will be the technical bridge between our Sales Representatives and their pre-sales customers. The Pre-Sales Engineer will take ownership of the prime technical relationship with our pre-sales customers to drive customer satisfaction by proactively managing and delivering technical information to our customers both onsite, online and via telephone. Experience / network with NATO and EU. 

The Responsibilities

  • Work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment under supervision to provide technical knowledge of Trend Micro software products within pre-sales customer’s environments.
  • Effectively interact with the engineering teams to provide solutions to minor technical issues.
  • Must be able to travel to attend sales presentations, marketing and user group events.
  • Share best practices with other Sales Engineers to enhance the quality and efficiency of the other members.
  • Maintain and expand working knowledge of current and beta (non-released) Trend Micro products.
  • Participate in Trend Beta testing programs including internally testing products in alpha and beta phases.
  • Provide software/network troubleshooting on minor technical issues.
  • Provide product training to both sales and Trend Premium Resellers.
  • Work with Product managers to enhance Trend products with new features that address customer needs
  • Provide consultation to pre-sales customers and help clients with the planning and implementation of Trend Micro software products
  • Able to present solutions and technology to small or large audiences.

You Are

  • BS degree or equivalent combination of education and sales engineering experience in computer software or systems.
  • Trend Product TCSE (L2 certified) for all product lines.
  • one or more of the following certifications or related experience: MCSE, UNIX System Administrator/Solaris Administrator, Certified Lotus Professional, CCNA is preferable


You Have

  • Experience / network with NATO and EU.
  • Minimum 2 years Sales/Sales Engineer experience in computer software or systems environment
  • Minimum 2 years basic hands on experience in the Cyber Security industry 
  • Minium 2 years basic knowledge of Microsoft or Linux Operating Systems.
  • Minimum 2 years experience in one or more of the following: Server/Desktop Operating Systems, Networking Architecture, Messaging Servers, Firewalls, Inter-relational Products and Peripherals customized to each client network
  • Strong multi-tasking and problem resolution abilities
  • Ability to effectively instruct or guide customers onsite, online and via telephone.
  • Ability to manage own time effectively.
  • Quick learner with desire to learn new tools and techniques.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, customer service, account management and negotiation skills with the ability to interface with a diverse set of clients.
  • Excellent English written and spoken communication skills
  • Excellent local language skills
  • Previous experience working with multi-cultural teams
  • Ability to conduct formal and informal training sessions or presentations.
