    Senior Manager Technology Italy

     

     

    Trend Micro Italy is one of the fastest growing countries in Europe. The technical team supporting this growth is composed of 5 Sales Engineers (SE) and 3 Customer Service Managers (CSM), in charge of the most critical customers in the country.

    Reporting to the Country Manager and the Technical Director for Southern Europe, the Technical Leader will have the overall responsibility of technical related activities as well as a high-level representation role.

    The ideal candidate would have real leadership capabilities, excellent customer-facing, organizational skills and experience in working with both technical, sales and marketing teams. Additionally, the candidate must have deep knowledge of the Italian security market.

     

     

    The Responsibilities

    • Responsible for the overall management, development and assessment of the SE and CSM teams
    • Promotes and maintains the highest level of processes, best practice and knowledge sharing within the team to ensure that the quality and consistency of delivery during presales phase is outstanding at all times.
    • Allocate the technical presales resources for the enterprise and channel sales team and leading them to assist the sales teams in winning new customers and maximizing revenue.
    • Work with the technical- and sales team to strategize on sales approaches to develop business.
    • Central point of escalation for all technical issues either in terms of presales or support

    You Are

    • Positions Trend Micro as Thought Leader, peers with C-Level at customers and partners.
    • Identifies opportunities for new solution offerings or additional business opportunities to grow the business
    • Enables local teams and local Partners to successfully position TM’s technological vision and solutions.
    • Meet strategic customers and build long-term trustfully relationship
    • Cooperate with other Technical Leaders in Southern Europe (France and Spain) to share experience, mutualize resources when needed and build a strong team working mindset in across Southern Europe technical teams.

    You Have

    • Excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as outstanding overall presentation skills to both large and small audiences
    • Excellent oral and written language skills in Italian and English
    • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
    • Proven experience in managing technical teams, e.g. Sales engineers, Technical Account Managers.
    • Successful in fast paced and quick changing environments
    • Ability to communicate differently with technologists and non-technologists
    • Understanding of wider business beyond technology – experience in both small and large business
    • Experienced operating at C-level and able to understand what´s important and what isn´t
    • Open-minded and receptive to ideas contributed by the team
    • Strong experience in IT security, a technical expertise would be a plus but not a must
    • Team worker
