    Legal Advisor (Commercial Contracts)


    As the Legal Advisor (Commercial Contracts) you will be managing contract negotiations finalising and supporting contracts through their lifecycle. You will serve as a liaison with Trend Micro’s business unit and its customers and vendors. This role will require excellent communication skills in order to provide pragmatic and solution-oriented legal support to internal customers. As a self-starting, experienced problem-solver you will have the ability to work under pressure, be flexible, prioritise demanding tasks and meet deadlines.

    The Responsibilities


    • Analysing, reviewing, drafting and negotiating the legal terms of a broad range of commercial contracts including assessing the optimal contracting vehicle to use
    • Manage terminations, variations, assignment/ novations, breach of contract claims, as required;
    • Contribute to RFP s and cover the applicable terms and conditions
    • Responsibility for triaging legal aliases, including answering questions from other teams and pointing people to available resources and managing outside counsel.
    • Ability to demonstrate sound judgment even in ambiguous situations
    • Ability to work independently while being able to collaborate cross-functionally with multiple people internally and externally
    • Confident communicator with people at all levels, maintaining a high level of discretion
    • Strong written and analytical skills
    • Conduct various additional other legal and ad hoc projects as require

    You Are

    • Flexible, able to work efficiently in fast-paced, demanding environment while effectively meeting deadlines and managing multiple priorities.
    • Self-motivated with the ability to work under own initiative and with minimum supervision – exhibits strong personal, professional and emotional maturity;
    • Common sense, great judgment, and a good sense of humour
    • Strong organization skills, detail-oriented with accurate data entry skills,

    You Have

    • Knowledge of contract/general commercial law and ideally having in-house experience within the software industry.
    • Commercially astute – understands business implications and sensitivities based on potential impacts of contract language.
    • Working knowledge of GDPR and negotiating data processing agreements;
    • Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent qualification within Law is required;
    • Understanding of the UK employment law
