  • Overview

    The role is responsible for owning the overall strategic technical relationship with the clients it is aligned to. These are typically organisations between 1000 and 5000+ employees, or specifically named large enterprise accounts. These can fall into various verticals, where understanding of the market is crucial. You will work with two senior account managers and have the support of subject matter experts in the form of Solution Architects. You will ensure the successful communication on both technical and commercial levels. Have the ability to solve complex issues and positioning in depth security transformation. This communication ranges from but is not limited to system administrators up to C-level executives. Trend Micro SE’s will on a regular basis deep dive into technical matters and be very skilled in understanding concepts such as the ‘Kill Chain’, cloud transformation and the evolving threat landscape.

    The Responsibilities

    The SE will be involved in technical engagements from the pre-sales phase to deployment phase, which includes:

     

    • Deliver pre sales support across the Trend portfolio
    • RFP and Bid management support
    • Designing solutions and high level architecture
    • Providing consultative product and solution expertise
    • Installing and configuring Trend Micro solutions during a POV
    • Identifying system integration requirements and working with partners to deliver solutions
    • Working with company technical support personnel to ensure ongoing quality of relationship
    • Collaborating with product SME’s and product management teams to identify and realise technical improvements to the products
    • Contribute to departmental best practices, strategies, methodologies and documentation, for increased efficiencies

    You Are

    • Ability to deploy and manage Trend solutions for a POV
    • Ability to effectively and efficiently instruct and guide customers on-site, online, and via telephone

    • Quick learner with desire to learn new tools and techniques
    • Strong verbal and written communication, customer service, account management and negotiation skills, with the ability to interface with a diverse set of clients
    • Presenting to a large group/audience at shows and other media type events

    You Have

    • 5+ years pre sales experience and/or professional services experience required
    • 5+ years’ experience in Security (Malware detection, Intrusion Detection, Content Security and Endpoint)
    • Proven experience of success in information security, working with enterprise accounts and a successful history in winning projects and overseeing their deployment
    • Work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment under minimal supervision to provide detailed technical knowledge of Trend Micro software products
    • Must be able to provide software/network troubleshooting on complex technical issues
    • Understand Malware and the techniques and methods to counter/prevent attacks
    • Windows and Linux experience required
    • Strong IP networking solution knowledge and skill set (e.g. Cisco CCNA, CCNP or equivalent)
    • Strong knowledge of virtualisation technologies (VMware, vSphere)
    • Strong knowledge of cloud platforms such as Azure and AWS.
    • Strong knowledge of enterprise security technologies such as endpoint and server
    • Firewall and IPS experience
    • Working knowledge of Network Security (e-mail and web security)
    • Exchange, AD and SQL experience valuable
