    As a Sales Engineer, you will act as a technical bridge between our product and field sales teams by driving the creation of high quality content around the Trend Micro Product and Solution portfolio. You will partner with our field teams in customer engagements, evangelising our solutions though demos, proof of concepts and presentations. You will work on standard methodologies around deployments, whitepapers and technical notes and be aware of any competitive intelligence. You will also be confident project managing larger customer and partner engagements.

    The Responsibilities

    You will be involved in technical engagements from the pre-sales through to the deployments phase. Your responsibilities include:

    • Delivering presales support across our product lines. You can develop key strategies to solve complex technical scenarios
    • You take responsibility for crafting solutions and high level architecture while also providing consultative expertise around our solutions and products
    • You can identify system integration requirements and working with our in-house professional services and outside system integrator partners to deliver integration solutions
    • You can deliver training and work with our company support personnel to ensure ongoing quality support
    • You will collaborate with the product application development team to identify and realise technical improvements to our products and contribute to departmental standard methodologies, strategies, methodologies and documentation, for increased efficiencies

    You Are

    • A strong multi-tasker with excellent problem solving resolution abilities
    • Able to effectively and efficiently instruct and guide our customers on-site, online, and through the telephone
    • Able to handle you own time effectively and are a self starter with the ambition to continuously learn new tools and techniques
    • Capable of working in a dynamic, high-pressure environment under minimal supervision to provide detailed technical knowledge of Trend Micro software products
    • Confident presenting to large groups and audiences at events and customer site with the flexibility to adapt technical product presentations for technical and non-technical audiences
    • Excellent at providing software and networking troubleshooting on complex issues
    • Able to read and interpret network sniffer output (e.g. pact files)

    Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)

    You Have

    • Several years of experience working in presales or professional services with a background in software or systems including an enterprise level knowledge of security technology (Malware detection, Intrusion Detection, Content Security)
    • Extensive experience with Microsoft Windows and Linux Host / Server Operating Systems including system security
    • Extraordinary IP networking solution knowledge (e.g. Cisco CCNA, CCNP or equivalent)
    • A solid knowledge of VMware virtualisation technologies
    • Practical knowledge of Gateway Security (e-mail and Web security)
    • Strong verbal and written communication, customer service, account management and negotiation skills, with the ability to collaborate with a diverse set of clients
    • The dedication to mentor and coach other team member and the demonstrable capability to execute and deliver results while keeping a friendly attitude and approach when working under pressure
    • A Degree or the equivalent working experience in information security
    • The availability to travel up to 15-20% of the time
