    Sales Engineer BeLux (Wallonia region) home office focused on Region Bruxelles et la Wallonie

     

    The role:  Are you passionate about IT security in combination with DevOps, APIs and SDKs? You have experience with Cloud and the automation of IT and Security workflows? The Trend Micro BeNeLux Sales Engineering team is looking for someone Special. You are an IT professional who understands how you can automate tasks through code and understands the security challenges in the DevOps way of working.

     

    Do you have a background as a DevOps Engineer, DevOps architect, Cloud Architect, Support Engineer for a SaaS or DevOps, or Linux or Windows Administration?  Sales Engineering experience is welcomed, but not necessary. If you’re interested in a career in “Next Gen” sales engineering, then we have an amazing opportunity for you.

     

    We want you to lead the charge on driving powerful demos showcasing our security automation capabilities using our API/SDK capabilities in our market-leading hybrid cloud security offering -  Trend Micro Cloud one. This offer protects the “hybrid cloud” workloads across AWS, Azure, Google, and VMWare. Our customers need to automate their security operations, as code, across the hybrid cloud, at scale. A strong passion for customer success is critical to the role. 

     

    You will be working with our customers in our rapidly growing business and need to have the ability to lead and execute with our sales teams.

    The Responsibilities

    • As a Sales Engineer you will be the technical expert for our customers and partners. You’ll work closely with our sales teams by driving the creation of high-quality content and actively participating in technical engagements from the pre-sales phase to deployment phase (e.g. leading technical workshops)
    • A large part of your role will be customer facing both through guidance and coaching on-site, online, and via telephone and through presentations to large audiences at shows and events. Therefore, you should have the ability and desire to make complex technical topics accessible to customers and partners who don’t understand it, as well as negotiating with experts.
    • Writing code and scripts and experience with APIs, SDKs, and technologies used in CI/CD pipelines.
    • Understand customer problems, work with the sales team, and show a demonstratable solution that fits the customer’s needs.
    • Enable the technical sales field through creation of collateral (demos, videos, training, etc)

    • Fluent in French and English
    • A quick learner with desire to learn new tools and techniques
    • used to working in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment 
    • Passionate to protect the world from Cyber Attacks!                                                                                                         

    You Have

    • Demonstrable experience in computer software or systems and preferably also including security related products (for malware detection, Intrusion Detection, Content Security)
    • Strong ability of selling, advising or consulting for complex software solutions
    • Great skills in presenting and demonstrating security solutions to small groups, but also larger audiences
    • Strong ability to listen to and understand the business and technical challenges of our customers and to offer an adequate solution  
    • Strong multi-tasking and problem resolution abilities 
    • Knowledge of cyber-attack techniques like exploits and enterprise security technologies like IDS/IPS, sandboxing and machine learning
    • Strong knowledge of virtualization technologies (e.g. VMware)
    • Strong understanding of Cloud Solutions like AWS and Azure
    • IP networking solution knowledge and skill set are beneficial
    • Knowledge of public cloud platforms and of scripting or programming languages like powershell, bash, ansible or python preferred
    • Understanding of Dev(Sec)Ops best practices highly advantageous
    • Computer Science and/or Business Degree (related field) or equivalent work experience
